Public Hearing - Rezoning Request RZ04-08, submitted by Kevin Breslin of Richmond Breslin, LLP on behalf of Center Point Properties Trust, West Suffolk Baptist Church and Denton A. Gibbs, Jr. property owners, for a change in zoning from A, Agricultural, RR, Rural Residential, M-1, Light Industrial, and M-2, Heavy Industrial Districts to B-2, General Commercial, O-I, Office-Institutional, M-1, Light Industrial and M-2, Heavy Industrial Districts (Conditional) for 20 parcels totaling approximately 933.51 acres. The properties affected are located to the north of Holland Road, west of Kenyon Road and south of the CSX Railroad. The properties are further identified as Tax Map 32, Parcels 23, 24, 32, 32A, 33, 33A, 37, 38, 38A, 39, 39A, 40, 41A, 47, 48, 49, and a portion of 35, 36 and 50 and Tax Map 33, Parcel 14B, Holy Neck Voting Borough. Public Hearing - Ordinance Text Amendment, OA7-08, initiated by the Suffolk Planning Commission, on behalf of the Suffolk City Council, for additions and amendments to Chapter 31, Article 4, Zoning, Section 31-407(e), Dimensional and Density Regulations, Setbacks; Article 6, Design and Improvement Standards, Section 31-606(a)(7), Parking and Loading Standards, Off Street Parking, Table 606-2, Off Street Parking Requirements; and Article 8, Nonconforming Uses, Section 31-801(e), Intent, Nonconforming Lots of Record of the Unified Development Ordinance for the purpose of adopting regulations pertaining to encouraging the construction of infill residential development within Suffolk’s older neighborhoods that is compatible with existing homes in the surrounding neighborhood Approved 8-0 18.
