City Council Special Meeting January 2, 2013 Reorganizational Meeting of the Suffolk City Council was held in the City Council Chamber on Monday, January 2, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. PRESENT Council Members - Linda T. Johnson, Mayor, presiding Charles F. Brown Jeffrey Gardy Michael D. Duman Roger W. Fawcett Curtis R. Milteer, Sr. Charles D. Parr, Sr. Lue R. Ward, Jr. Selena Cuffee-Glenn, City Manager Helivi L. Holland, City Attorney Erika S. Dawley, City Clerk ABSENT None CALL TO ORDER Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order. ELECTION OF THE VICE MAYOR Mayor Johnson advised City Council that at this time, the floor was open for nominations for the position of Vice Mayor. Council Member Milteer, on a motion seconded by Council Member Gardy, moved to nominate and appoint Charles F. Brown to the position of Vice Mayor, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Council Members Brown, Duman, Fawcett, Gardy, Milteer, Parr, Ward and Johnson 8 NAYS: None 0 Charles F. Brown was appointed as the Vice Mayor of the City of Suffolk, for a term beginning January 2, 2012, and ending December 31, 2014.
