Utility Relief Program Update 4.* Appointments * Proposed Items for Closed Session AGENDA: June 16, 2021, Work Session ITEM: Plan Finance and Fund Balance Policy Update A representative from the City’s financial advisor, Davenport & Company, will provide City Council with an update regarding the plan of finance for the 2021 bond issuance as well as options to update the City’s general fund unassigned fund balance policy. AGENDA: June 16, 2021, Work Session ITEM: Resuming Transit Fares on July 1, 2021 The Interim Director of Public Works will provide City Council with an update on the resuming of Transit Fares on July 1, 2021. AGENDA: June 16, 2021, Work Session ITEM: Utility Relief Program Update This presentation provides an update on the status of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 HRUBS Utility Bill Pandemic Relief Programs. Data on the number of customers assisted, as well as the amount of financial assistance remaining, will be presented along with information on the current utility bill arrearages. Adjournment 2 Special Presentations Removal of Items from the Consent Agenda and Adoption of the Agenda Agenda Speakers Consent Agenda Resolutions Staff Reports AGENDA: June 16, 2021, Regular Session ITEM: Motion – A motion to schedule a Public Hearing for July 7, 2021, to receive public comment on an ordinance to authorize a quitclaim deed between the City of Suffolk and Birdco Energy Incorporated, for the vacation of a public utility easement located on Tax Map & Parcel 34G29(A)*1*2+ A public utility easement is located on Tax Map & Parcel No. 34G29(A)*1*2+, which parcel is located south of the Madison Street southern right-of-way line. The easement contains a City owned water main and fire hydrant that only serves this parcel. Future development on this parcel will require the vacation of the easement and the abandonment of the fire service line. A motion is requested to schedule the required public hearing to be held at the July 7, 2021, City Council Meeting.
