T. Lawson was unable to attend today. He was looking into doing a
clean up in coordination with Parks and Recreation to tie into Earth
Day and to speak with a horticulturist acquaintance of his to get a
list of plants that are low maintenance but aesthetically pleasing. H.
Pallay and T. Caballero visited with D. Best to discuss the SBC
potential role in helping landscape Gahagan Park. H. Pallay met with
R. Cornette about putting in a crosswalk near Timrod Library. She
also discussed a proposal of doing a “Trash Walks & Art Walks”
event where varies entities come together to speak about the
environment, trash and behavior as well as how to incorporate the
arts into the conversation by having local artists utilize trash to
create art. T. Caballero learned the proper procedures to follow for
placing a banner at the intersection of Berlin G. Myers and Trolley
Rd. She tried to follow up with A. Okpych, but was unsuccessful in
making contact. We do not have a logo yet. She also reached out to
M. Keber of the Journal Scene via email with no response. Letter
Campaign to local churches suspended until we can obtain a logo
and vote on the program itself.
