online sources such as Strava and maps created by John Mott and the COG map presented by
Sarah Cox. Eric Davis reviewed some of the current and future projects of Dorchester County.
Karen Fairchild outlined her needs for data to complete the bike and sidewalk path inventory.
The committee agreed that connectivity is our main goal, and summarized the priorities,
including but not limited to:
SMB trail connection to Maple St. extension
SMB trail connection to Hwy. 78, going under the railroad tracks
SMB trail connection/ extension to Jockey Court with connection to Holiday Drive
Bicycle access and designations on Doty and West Luke St.
Main Street access and connection to the Bear Island Pkwy
BGM - multi-use paths on the current pkwy and the extension
17A and I26 bicycle access
Laurel St. North - bicycle access
It was agreed that we need to approach this plan in two parts - documenting what we currently
have in place for bike access, and then identifying what we need/want for the future.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
Respectfully submitted by Kelley Johnson
