SP AL STAFF REPORT BAR Meeting October 2nd, 2018 To: Town of Summerville BAR From: Meredith Detsch, Planner II Date: September 25th, 2018 GENERAL INFORMATION Property Applicant: Rick Martier Owner: Rick Martier Requested Action: New portico over front door, metal roof Existing Zoning: R-1, Single Family Residential Location: 112 South Walnut Street TMS# 137-02-13-007 Historic District Ranking– N/A Existing Land Use: Residential Background and Analysis: The applicant has applied to install a portico over the front porch. The applicant has experienced damage to the door from weather and the portico would offer some additional protection. The sides of the portico are parallel with the roof and the structure is approximately 1’ 6” above the transom window. The portico is 96” wide and protrudes 40” out from the structure. The lamps will be moved accordingly. The bottom of the portico will be 3/8” thick plywood and the roof will be a metal roof in the Advantage-Lok II design in the color Burnished Slate. This project meets all zoning requirements.
