CALL TO ORDER
Chair Veith called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.

Chair Veith led the salute to the United States flag.

PRESENTATION
A 24-0135 Discuss Cultural Art Partnerships
Commissioners collectively discussed the potential cultural arts partnerships.
Commissioners inquired and staff responded:
Can commissioners facilitate partnerships with other commissions? Yes.
Commissioners can attend other commissions as a member of the public to
collaborate on ideas.
Can staff target a specific group when they do a call for artists? Yes. Depending on
the project, staff can request certain information be provided when calling for
artists.

Recreation Services Manager, Trenton Hill, and Recreation Services Coordinator,
Kristin Dance, provided a presentation on previous commission artwork projects.
Commissioners inquired and staff responded:
How does staff gather materials for art projects? Staff posts city-wide
announcements and place collection boxes at the Library, Senior Center and
Community Center.
Kristin noted that commissioners can email her ideas by February 14, and she'll
return with flushed out ideas.

Mayor Klein introduced himself to the Commission and noted that he would be the
Council Liaison for the next six months.
