CALL TO ORDER
Chair Lai called the meeting to order at 7 p.m.

August 5, 2019
Vice Chair Bremond moved and Board Member Isaak seconded, approval of the
Board of Library Trustees minutes of August 5, 2019. The motion carried by the
following vote:

PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS
2 19-0909 Preliminary Discussion of 2020 Master Work Plan
Superintendent Steve Sloan provided an overview of the 2020 Master Work Plan.
The Board discussed items to add to the Master Work Plan.
Chair Lai opened the public hearing, and there being no public testimony, closed
the public hearing.
3 19-0956 Final Month to Propose Study Issues
The Board found no potential Study Issues to propose at this time.

Superintendent Steve Sloan spoke about the audio/video upgrades to the Library
Program Room, the upcoming Drag Queen storytime, Urban Libraries Council
training, progress on the Branch Library, the Council awarded contract to Baker and
Taylor, Kanopy (online platform) pricing/contract change, and an update on Working
Scholars.
