SPECIAL ORDER OF THE DAY 14-0213 SPECIAL ORDER OF THE DAY - Ceremonial Oath of Office for Commission Members City Clerk Kathleen Franco Simmons administered the Oath of Office to new Board and Commission members. PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS Vice Mayor Davis announced upcoming vacancies on City Boards and Commissions and an application deadline. PRESENTATION 14-0056 PRESENTATION - PG&E Pipeline Safety Project and Proposed Tree Removals by Ivan Altamura, Director of Engagement/Pipeline Pathways and Tamon Norimoto, Manager, Government Relations PG&E representatives Tamon Norimoto, Manager, Government Relations and Ivan Altamura, Director of Engagement/Pipeline Pathways provided a report and responded to Council questions. The following individuals addressed the Council regarding this subject matter: Tom Cerny Ed Reed Terry Fowler Ben Gibbs Cynthia Hayes-Rupp Minjung Kwok David Arnold Chandra Konda Ron Fischler PG&E representatives responded to questions and concerns. Mayor Griffith requested the matter be scheduled for action on an upcoming agenda as soon as possible. Public comment closed at 9:07 p.m. MOTION: Councilmember Hendricks moved and Councilmember Larsson seconded the motion to approve staff recommendation, with a modification of the realtor to "Midtown Realty, Inc." for the sale of 715 San Conrado Terrace #6, and authorize the City Manager to enter into an exclusive Purchase and Sales Agreement with Midtown Realty Inc.; and, should the transaction with Midtown Realty not go through, Council authorize the City Manager to negotiate with the next highest bidder. Public hearing closed at 9:26 p.m. MOTION: Councilmember Hendricks moved and Councilmember Larsson seconded the motion to approve Alternative 1: Adopt Resolutions to amend the Salary Table of the City's Salary Resolution and the Classification Plan to change the classification title of Web Specialist to Web and Communications Specialist; to delete the Senior Management Analyst classifications with the departmental designations of CDD, Finance, and Public Safety and add the classification title Senior Management Analyst; and to add the newly established classification of Network Technician that will become effective at the beginning of the first pay period after February 25, 2014. Vice Mayor Davis reported his attendance at the ribbon cutting at the First Republic Bank opening, a meeting of the the Valley Transportation Authority Policy Advisory Committee, Restoration Advisory Committee at Moffett Field, a meeting with Supervisor Simitian and Senator Beall's open house. Councilmember Martin-Milius reported on a meeting of the Santa Clara Valley Water District Watershed Advisory Committee. City of Sunnyvale Page 9 City Council Meeting Minutes February 25, 2014 Councilmember Whittum announced an upcoming meeting of the Levi Stadium Service Committee, reported a meeting he had with Santa Clara Councilmember O'Neill, and his attendance at a meeting of the Cherry Hill Neighborhood Association. Mayor Griffith reported on a meeting of the Cities Association and a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, Congressmembers Honda and Lofgren, and San Jose Mayor Reed. NON-AGENDA ITEMS & COMMENTS -Council Vice Mayor Davis requested consideration of a blue ribbon committee to address the paramedic situation in Sunnyvale be scheduled for an upcoming agenda. Councilmember Hendricks sponsored a study issue to look at a policy regarding giving preference to service providers located in Sunnyvale. Mayor Griffith and Councilmember Martin-Milius co-sponsored the study issue. -City Manager None.
