Call to Order and Roll Call District Chair Richard Santos called the meeting to order and took roll call of the District Board. Present: 5 - Mayor Glenn Hendricks Mayor Larry Klein Councilmember Gustav Larsson Councilmember Nancy Smith Vice Mayor Russ Melton Absent: 2 - Councilmember Jim Griffith Councilmember Michael S. District Board and Sunnyvale City Council received information on the Countywide Water Reuse Master Plan. B. District Board directed District staff to continue the Districts’ commitment to meaningful engagement with the City of Sunnyvale in pursuit of new and innovative partnership opportunities for the continued expansion of water reuse in Santa Clara County. Mayor Hendricks opened a public hearing at 7:21 p.m. No additional speakers. Mayor Hendricks closed the public hearing at 7:21 p.m. MOTION: Vice Mayor Klein moved and Councilmember Larsson seconded the motion to direct Sunnyvale staff to continue the City’s commitment to meaningful City of Sunnyvale Page 2 City Council Meeting Minutes - Final December 17, 2018 engagement with the Santa Clara Valley Water District in pursuit of new and innovative partnership opportunities for the continued expansion of water reuse in Santa Clara County. MOTION: Vice Mayor Klein moved and Councilmember Smith seconded the motion to direct Sunnyvale staff to commit to ongoing and strengthened coordination and partnership with the Santa Clara Valley Water District on emergency activities and services. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 5 - Mayor Hendricks Mayor Klein Councilmember Larsson Councilmember Smith Vice Mayor Melton No: 0 Absent: 2 - Councilmember Griffith Councilmember Goldman 9.
