City of Sunnyvale Meeting Minutes - Final Parks and Recreation Commission Wednesday, November 13, 2024 7:00 PM Online and Bay Conference Room (Room 145), City Hall, 456 W. Olive Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94086 CALL TO ORDER Chair Kesting called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. SALUTE TO THE FLAG Chair Kesting led the salute to the United States flag. ROLL CALL Present: 4 - Chair David Kesting Commissioner Daniel Bremond Commissioner Prashant Gattani Commissioner Prakash Giri Absent: 1 - Vice Chair Dona Mason Councilmember Mason (excused absence) Council Liaison Melton (absent) STUDY SESSION A 24-1118 Sports & Aquatics Report Tracey Gott, Recreation Services Manager, presented an overview of Sports and Aquatics. Highlights included: sports and aquatics offerings, Sunnyvale Youth Basketball League, camps, gymnastics, drop-in programs, leagues, and outdoor sports assessment. Commissioners asked if volunteers need background checks, and how groups can partner with the city. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS None. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 4 - Chair Kesting Commissioner Bremond Commissioner Gattani Commissioner Giri No: 0 Absent: 1 - Vice Chair Mason 1 24-1121 Approve the Parks and Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes of October 9, 2024 Approve the Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes of October 9, 2024 as submitted. PUBLIC HEARINGS/GENERAL BUSINESS 2 24-1119 Approve 2025 Work Plan Commissioners discussed approving the 2025 Parks and Recreation Work Plan. At 8:06 p.m., the fire alarm at the Civic Center notified participants to evacuate the building. The meeting was immediately adjourned. All remaining items will be discussed at the December Parks and Recreation Commission meeting. 3 24-1120 Annual Review of Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials Will be discussed at the December Parks and Recreation Commission meeting.
