SALUTE TO THE FLAG Chair Pyne led the salute to the flag. The motion carried by the following vote: Yes: 4 - Chair Pyne Vice Chair Iglesias Commissioner Howard Commissioner Serrone No: 0 Absent: 1 - Commissioner Davis Abstained: 2 - Commissioner Howe Commissioner Shukla 1.A 24-0155 Approve Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of December 11, 2023 Approve Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of December 11, 2023 as submitted. 1.B 24-0181 REQUEST FOR CONTINUANCE TO A DATE UNCERTAIN Proposed Project: Related applications on a 0.21-acre site: TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP to subdivide a 9,397-square foot lot into two lots (Lot 1 - 5,128 square feet and Lot 2 - 4,269 square feet); and DESIGN REVIEW to demolish an existing one-story single-family home and construct two new, two-story single-family homes resulting in 2,587 square feet for Lot 1 (2,184 square feet living area and 403 square feet garage); and 2,570 square feet for Lot 2 (2,166 square feet living area and 404 square foot garage), resulting in 55% total floor area ratio (FAR). INFORMATION ONLY REPORTS/ITEMS None. 2. 24-0185 Planning Commission Proposed Study Issues, Calendar Year: 2024 (Information Only) NON-AGENDA ITEMS AND COMMENTS -Commissioner Comments None. -Staff Comments Planning Officer Shaunn Mendrin announced that the adoption of an urgency interim ordinance pertaining to rezoning will be considered at the Planning Commission meeting of January 22, 2024 and at the City Council meeting of January 30, 2024. Planning Officer Mendrin informed the Planning Commissioners that on January 9, 2024, the City Council will consider an amendment to the Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials. Chair Pyne added that this amendment pertains to remote public comment during Oral Communications. Planning Officer Mendrin advised the Planning Commissioners that the City Council will review study issues on January 23, 2024. Planning Officer Mendrin noted that a Strategic Planning workshop will be conducted at the City Council meeting of January 25, 2024. Planning Officer Mendrin stated that the City Council will hold a Study Issue workshop on February 15, 2024. ADJOURNMENT Chair Pyne adjourned the meeting at 7:10 PM. City of Sunnyvale Page 3
