CALL TO ORDER
Gerri Caruso, Principal Planner, called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
File #: 2015-7895
Location: 604 E. Evelyn Avenue (APN: 209-13-057)
Applicant / Owner: Creative Explorers (applicant) / Dubrovnik
Properties, LLC (owner)
Proposed Project:
Special Development Permit to allow a modification to an
existing child care center to increase the children from 30 to 45.
A deviation from on-site parking is requested.
Reason for Permit: A Special Development is required for changes
of use within the C-1/ITR/R-3/PD zoning district.
Project Planner: Jonathan Caldito, (408) 730-7452,

Recommendation: Approve with conditions
Ms. Caruso asked if Jonathan Caldito, project planner, had any additional
comments.
Mr. Caldito stated that corrections should be noted:
1) The application for permit should be listed as a Special Development Permit and
not a Use Permit as published.
2) Property is located on the corner of Fair Oaks and Evelyn, not on Wolfe as
previously indicated in the staff report.
There were no additonal comments from the public.
Ms. Caruso stated Conditions of Approval GC-2 Use Expiration be changed from
Use Permit to Special Development.

Ms. Caruso opened the hearing to the applicant.
Ms. Caruso clarified with Annie Doan, applicant if she had read the staff report.
Ms. Doan stated she did not have any comments or questions.
Ms. Caruso closed the public hearing.
ACTION: Approved subject to the findings and conditions of approval located in the
staff report with modifications:
1) Change Use Permit to Special Development Permit
2) Per condition of approval AT-6, a legally recorded instrument is needed to reflect
securement of additonal parking prior to expansion.
ADJOURNMENT
Ms. Caruso adjourned the meeting at 3:04 p.m.
