City of Sunnyvale Meeting Minutes Zoning Administrator Hearing Wednesday, April 27, 2022 3:00 PM Teleconference Meeting: City Web Stream Meeting Online Link: https://sunnyvale-ca-gov.zoom.us/j/94442399040 Special Teleconference Notice Public Participation Accessibility/Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Notice CALL TO ORDER Michelle King, Zoning Administrator, called the meeting to order at 3:04 p.m. PUBLIC HEARINGS Proposed Project: USE PERMIT: to allow an approximately 8.5-foot tall fence in the reducible front yard of a single-family home (facing Blackhawk Drive). Location: 502 Humber Ct (APN: 309-38-008) File #: 2021-7554 Zoning: R-0 (Low Density Residential) Applicant / Owner: Christopher Ogden (applicant/owner) Environmental Review: Class 3 Categorical Exemption relieves this project from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provisions. Project Planner: Kelly Cha, 408-730-7408, kcha@sunnyvale.ca.gov Ms. King inquired with Kelly Cha, Project Planner, if there were any additions to the staff report. Ms. Cha said there were no updates to the staff report and that no comments from the public were received. Ms. King opened the hearing to public comments. There were no members of the public present. Christopher Ogden, homeowner, provided a brief explanation stating that he agreed with the staff report. He also stated that the new fence would be closer to the sidewalk and would line up with his neighbor’s fence. The new fence would also aesthetically match better with the rest of the properties in the neighborhood. The new fence would also provide more privacy. Ms. King noted that she agreed the design of the new fence would fit in better with the neighborhood. Ms. King opened the hearing to public comments. Ms. King noted there were no members of the public and closed the public comments. ACTION: Approved the Use Permit with recommended Conditions in Attachment 3. Proposed Project: PEERY PARK PLAN REVIEW PERMIT: to allow installation of ground-mounted equipment (battery storage system) and enclosure in the rear of an industrial building with a one-foot, three-inch side setback, where a minimum of 10 feet is required. Location: 575 N. Pastoria Drive (APN 165-41-032) File #: 2022-7064 Zoning: PPSP/IE Applicant / Owner: Devcon Construction (applicant) / SCP-I (owner) Environmental Review: A Class 3 Categorical Exemption relieves this project from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) provisions. Project Planner: Cindy Hom, 408-730-7411, chom@sunnyvale.ca.gov Ms. King inquired with Cindy Hom, Project Planner, if there were any additions to the staff report.
