HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE Meeting Minutes May 20, 2024 Regular Meeting The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Van Sickle at 5:00 p.m. on May 20, 2024 in room 204 of the Government Center. 1 ROLL CALL MEMBERS PRESENT: Jenny Van Sickle, Mark Johnson, Garner Moffat CITY STAFF PRESENT: Beth Archer, Brian Bustrak, Sam Dotterwick, Paul Howard, Cammi Janigo, Cam Vollbrecht, Deb Williams OTHERS PRESENT: Shelley Nelson, John Ramos 2 APPROVAL OF MINUTES 2.1 Human Resources Committee (Meeting held April 15, 2024) MOTION by Johnson, seconded by Van Sickle. Motion carried. Councilor Moffat abstained from voting, as he was not present at the last meeting. 3 NEW BUSINESS 3.1 Election of HRC Chairperson and Vice Chairperson MOTION by Johnson, seconded by Moffat, to postpone the election until the June HRC meeting. Motion carried. 3.2 Update from the Building Inspection Department on how the Tyler Energov software has changed their processes. (Requested at last HRC meeting) Members from the Building Inspection Department gave an overview of the new Tyler Energov software, which was implemented in June of 2021. Prior to the software, individuals primarily applied for a permit in person with Building Inspection. Now, individuals can apply remotely through the Energov platform, which has been described as being more streamlined, user-friendly for the public and contractors, and timesaving. Since the transition to Energov, the number of permit applications has also increased. Brian Bustrak, Sam Dotterwick, and Paul Howard left the meeting at 5:27 pm. 3.3 Requests to fill: 3.3.1 Light Equipment Operator – Parks Department MOTION by Moffat, seconded by Johnson. Motion carried. 3.3.3 Firefighter (2 positions) MOTION by Moffat, seconded by Johnson. Motion carried. 3.3.4 Light Equipment Operator – Street Division MOTION by Johnson, seconded by Moffat. Motion carried. 4 RECURRING BUSINESS 5.1 Receive and file: Monthly personnel report for April 2024. The committee received and filed. 5.2 Human Resources updates.
