MAYOR'S COMMISSION ON COMMUNITIES OF COLOR
MONDAY, MAY 24, 2021

Members Present: Chair Deanna Reder, Natasha Lancour, Jenny Van Sickle, and Kat
Werchouski
Absent: Deonne Nelson and Pat St. Germaine
Others Present: Chief Nicholas Alexander, Nick Raverty
The meeting was called to order at 5:42 p.m.
1. Roll Call
2. Discuss the sponsorship of Juneteenth event
Commissioner Reder shared details of what she knew about the event.
Commissioner Lancour offered to help spread the word through her network.
Commissioner Reder asked that the commission help serve as a contact for the event when
possible.
Nick Raverty gave a quick budget overview to the commission. $750 for 2021 and already spent
$100 on the WI Point event, leaving $650 for the rest of 2021.
The commissioners discussed other events that may need potential sponsorship this year.
Motion by Commissioner Van Sickle, second by Commissioner Werchouski, to approve the
sponsorship at $200.
3. Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 5:57 p.m.
