Roll Call Present: Deanna Reder, Jenny Van Sickle, Louren Yzaguirre, Ehpraim Nikoi Also Present: Becky Scherf Chair Reder made MOTION to suspend item number 2 to later in the meeting. Seconded by Nikoi. 3. Approval of March 14th minutes MOTION by Yzaguirre, seconded by Nikoi and carried to approve. 4. Open Board Seats Commissioner Nikoi made referral to a colleague, awaiting letter of interest. Looking for commissioners who are not over committed to other organizations. 2. Election of Chairs Van Sickle nominates Reder for chair. Seconded by Nikoi. Reder nominates Nikoi. Nikoi declines. Voted unanimously to make Reder chair for another term. Nikoi nominated self for vice chair. Seconded by Reder. Voted unanimously to make Nikoi vice chair for one term. 5. General goals/Mission Group discussed general goals and mission of the group moving forward. Would like to get to know each other as a group and continue forward. 6. Future Agenda Items Chief Alexander and Library’s Sue Heskin asked to come back to speak at a future meeting. Chair Reder agreed to review the work of other commissions and present to group at next meeting. Finalize the one pager to distribute to future commissioners. Juneteenth to be added to next agenda for funding approval. 7. Adjournment – Meeting adjourned at 6:31 PM.
