Police and Fire Commission (Meets 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:45 p.m.)

MINUTES POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION Superior, Wisconsin 1. A special session of the Board of the Police and Fire Commission for the City of Superior was called to order Monday, November 22, 2021 at 5:00p.m. Some participants joined the meeting via Google Meet. 2. ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Howard Hendrickson, Arthur Gil de Lamadrid, Maria Cuzzo Also present: Chief Alexander, Chief Gordon, HR Director Janigo, Shelley Nelson There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order. 3. RECOGNITION OF NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC The recording secretary mailed and/or delivered agendas and agenda packets to persons or organizations listed, and the meeting was legally noticed in accordance with Wisconsin State Statutes open meeting law. 4. Approval of minutes: September 8, 2021 Motion by Commissioner Cuzzo, seconded by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid and carried to approve the minutes from the September 8, 2021 meeting. 5. Police & Fire department updates Motion by Commissioner Hendrickson, seconded by Commissioner Cuzzo and carried to postpone the department updates until the next meeting. 6. Letter from Chief Alexander; completion of probationary period, Matthew Brown Motion by Commissioner Cuzzo, seconded by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid and carried to approve the letter from Chief Alexander; completion of probationary period, Matthew Brown. 7. Update PFC rules to include SFD lateral transfer language Motion by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid, seconded by Commissioner Cuzzo and carried to approve updating PFC rules to include SFD lateral transfer language. 8. Consider change to Police Officer physical agility test No action 9. Update on Firefighter testing process No action 10. Update PFC Rules to include virtual attendance quorum option for meetings Motion by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid, seconded by Commissioner Cuzzo and carried to approve the update to the PFC rules to include virtual attendance quorum option for meetings. Motion by Commissioner Cuzzo, seconded by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid and carried to move into closed session. 11.
