Police and Fire Commission (Meets 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:45 p.m.)

MINUTES POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION Superior, Wisconsin 1. The regular meeting of the Board of the Police and Fire Commission for the City of Superior was called to order Wednesday, January 12, at 6:00p.m. Some participants joined the meeting via Google Meet. 2. ROLL CALL Commissioners present: Maria Cuzzo, Howard Hendrickson, Arthur Gil de Lamadrid, Shawnu Ksicinski Also present: Chief Gordon, Chief Alexander, Councilor Pierce, HR Director Janigo There being a quorum present, the meeting was in order. 3. RECOGNITION OF NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC The recording secretary mailed and/or delivered agendas and agenda packets to persons or organizations listed, and the meeting was legally noticed in accordance with Wisconsin State Statutes open meeting law. 4. Approval of minutes: November 22, 2021, November 24, 2021, December 14, 2021 Motion by Commissioner Cuzzo, seconded by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid and carried to approve the minutes of November 22, 2021, November 24, 2021 and December 14, 2021. 5. Update on SPD Lateral Transfer process Chief Alexander gave an update on the lateral transfer process and recent interviews of two candidates. No action. 6. Approve Firefighter certified hire list Motion by Commissioner Cuzzo, seconded by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid and carried to move into closed session. Motion by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid, seconded by Commissioner Cuzzo and carried to return to open session. Motion by Commissioner Cuzzo, seconded by Commissioner Gil de Lamadrid and carried to approve the Firefighter certified hire list.
