APPROVAL OF MINUTES: 2.A Consider approval of minutes from the July 14, 2022 Susanville Municipal Airport Commission Meeting Approve July 14, 2022 Susanville Municipal Airport Commission Meeting Commissioner Heyland inquired since he was absent last meeting can items be approved without his vote. BUSINESS FROM THE FLOOR: Mr. Tyndall welcomed Mr. Merchant, asked if he has submitted his letter of intent. Mr. Merchant stated he emailed City Clerk Heidi Whitlock a letter of interest and his resume. 5. PUBLIC COMMENT: None 6. NEW BUSINESS: None 7. CONTINUING BUSINESS: 7.A Update on Changing Meeting times: Public Works Director Bob Godman advised he will be taking the request for the meeting time change to council at the next City Council meeting on September 7,2022. Mr. Godman stated he is fairly certain the council will approve the time change to 4:oo pm as requested. Vice Chair Hrezo inquired if it is necessary to have a meeting every month if we do not have new business to discuss. Mr. Tyndall answered it is important to have monthly meetings to show the progress with ACIP. Mr. Hrezo stated if we are accomplishing things then he has no problem meeting every month. Mr. Godman stated having monthly meetings also keeps the City Staff on top of the Airport Projects. Mr. Tyndall added it is good to meet monthly in order to keep the Airport on the City Councils radar. 7.B Update on the 2022 ACIP Motion to recommend the 2022 ACIP be adopted by the Susanville City Council Mr. Godman presented the update on the 2022 ACIP, stated he has been working with Michael from C&S Engineering who is our consultant for the ACIP. They have added some of the items that were previously discusses and moved other items around. The Perimeter Fencing project has been moved to year 2027, at that time they will do the preliminary wildlife study. Following would be the design and construction in separate years, the design could be done in year 2028. They spoke with our representative from the FAA, the plan is to get the plan approved before the Conference that is scheduled in Tahoe. Michael is working on it, once it is complete he will call for a Special Meeting to have the Commission review the ACIP prior to taking to the City Council. Mr. Tyndall asked when is the last day to get it submitted, Mr. Godman stated the 21st of September. Commissioner Heyland asked about an item on the ACIP, year 2025 number one Taxiway C reconstruction and design; Airport Manager Steve Datema answered. 8. AIRPORT MANAGERS REPORT: Airport Manager has nothing to report. 4 9. COMMISSION ITEMS: Mr. Tyndall inquired if we have a quote from C & S Engineering on a Master Plan, Mr. Godman stated not yet. Mr. Tyndall asked Mr. Datema if we have a quote on the Well pump, Mr. Datema stated they have not gotten back to him but he will follow up. My. Tyndall inquired update on striping bid, Mr. Godman stated the city had an engineering emergency that has taken up all of his time along with the Engineering Depts. time so he has not been able to follow up on that item. Mr. Tyndall inquired about pavement in front of his hangar, he asked if there is a reason every taxiway has been resurfaced except for those that are leading to runway 2-5. Mr. Godman stated he is not sure and it has not been brought up to him before. It is something that can be looked into the future. 10.
