ADJOURNMENT: 5 6 AGENDA ITEM NO. 5.A Discussion Item SUSANVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM Submitted By: Bob Godman, Public Works Action Date: February 8, 2024 SUBJECT: Covid 19 Grants Update PRESENTED BY: Bob Godman, Public Works Director SUMMARY: Last spring City Council approved a project at the Airport to replace the well pump and pressure tanks at the Airport. This project met the stated needs for the most conservative of the three Covid grants that the Airport had received. All three of the grants worked on reimbursement, where the City would spend money and then ask the FAA to reimburse the money spent. When we asked for a reimbursement from the FAA for the pump and pressure tank project the FAA denied our claim. Further they informed us that they had changed the rules and would like any further requests to be employee based. Staff went back in the City books and figured out how much the Airport had spent on employees during the available years and submitted that to the FAA. The FAA reimbursed the City for those costs, which was essentially the full $72,000 from the total of the three grants together. This money was deposited in the Airport fund and can be used for any purpose that is legal for the City to use funds at the Airport. FISCAL IMPACT: Approximately $72,000 in revenue to the Airport. ACTION REQUESTED: None, Information Only ATTACHMENTS: 7 AGENDA ITEM NO. 5.B Discussion Item SUSANVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT COMMISSION AGENDA ITEM Submitted By: Bob Godman, Public Works Action Date: February 8, 2024 SUBJECT: 2024-2029 ACIP first discussion PRESENTED BY: Bob Godman SUMMARY: Each year the Susanville Airport Commission reviews the ACIP and recommends a project to be added and any timing adjustments to projects that may be need to City Council. This is this year's first conversation.
