Town of Swansboro Board of Commissioners – EOC/PSB Site Selection Committee May 23, 2024, Special Joint Meeting Minutes Commissioners In attendance: Mayor John Davis, Mayor Pro Tem William Justice, Commissioner Jeffrey Conaway, Commissioner Pat Turner, Commissioner Joseph Brown, and Commissioner Douglas Eckendorf. Committee Members in attendance: Chair Keith Walsh, Melissa Anderson, Junior Freeman, Roy Herrick and Commissioner Eckendorf. ********************************** Call to Order/Opening Prayer/Pledge The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm. The purpose the meeting was for the Board and Committee to meet in closed session pursuant to NCGS 138.143-11 (a)(5) to establish, or to instruct the public body’s staff or negotiating agents concerning the position to be taken by or on behalf of the public body in negotiating the price and other material terms of a contract or proposed contract for the acquisition of real property by purchase, option, exchange, or lease. On a motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Conaway the board entered closed session at 5:56 with unanimous approval. Pursuant to a motion duly made and seconded in closed session the board returned to open session. Mayor Davis announced that there was no formal action taken. Adjournment On a motion by Commissioner Brown, seconded by Commissioner Eckendorf, the meeting adjourned at 8:42 pm. Page 1 of 1
