TALLMADGE GROW, INC A COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT CORPORATION Minutes for Regular Meeting May 11, 2017 at 5:30 Mayor’s Office – 46 North Avenue The regular meeting of Tallmadge Grow, Inc. was held May 11, 2017, 5:30 pm at 46 North Avenue, Tallmadge, Ohio in the Mayor’s Office of City Hall. MEMBERS PRESENT: David Kline, Mollie Gilbride, Glen Stalnaker, Terry Bumpas, Mathew Draiss, Rita Weinberg MEMBERS ABSENT: Don Pavlik, Mike Carter, Chuck Wiedie, Jill Stritch, David Bierce Item 1. The meeting was called to order by President David Kline at 5:50 p.m. Item 2. Approval of Minutes of the Annual and Regular Meetings of February 22, 2017 Annual meeting: David Kline made a motion, Terry Bumpas seconded. Vote 6-0 in favor. Regular meeting: David Kline made a motion, Mollie Gilbride seconded. Vote 6-0 in favor. Item 3. Treasurer’s Report. Treasurer not present. Hold. Item 4. New Business. a) CIC lease for property at 22 Southwest Avenue.  Both City and CIC should be additional insured  Lawn maintenance and snow removal (all exterior maintenance) will be the responsibility of the City  Mollie asked for clarification /rewording of second sentence of Section 12 – Maintenance and Repairs.  Mollie wanted assurance Treasurer was comfortable with taking care of billing. Rita affirmed she and Jill would take responsibility for pro-rating charges in preparation for billing. Treasurer would write checks.  Motion by David Kline to authorize CIC to finalize the lease with the Law Department and present to lessee for review and execution. Gene Stalnaker seconded. Vote 6-0 in favor. b) Request from Chamber for allocation of $3,000 for 2017 Circle Fest.  Terry Bumpas abstained.  Determined there was a quorum for voting.  David Kline motion to approve, Gene Stalnaker seconded. Vote 5-0 in favor. Item 5. Old Business. Waltco has asked for parking on old Tallmadge bowling alley site. City will not sell the property but has a quote to construct the lot at $160,000.  Dave suggests transferring the parcel to the CIC and leasing for $1.00 if Waltco will construct the lot. This will include an easement connecting to the Freedom Trail and allow Span Ministry to park in lot on Sundays. Dave will work with Waltco and request legislation to transfer lot to CIC.
