TALLMADGE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MONDAY, AUGUST 19, 2013 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole Robert D. Maguire – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Maguire called the Council Committee meeting of 8-19-13 to order at 7:01 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Donovan, Mr. Stalnaker, Mr. Maguire, – present. Also present were Dir. of Administration Pascarella, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Public Service Esler and Economic Developer Loughry. Mayor Kline was on vacation. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pres. of Council: We have a few. Our Mayor is on vacation and he will be gone the rest of the week and so we will not see him Thursday night. Secondly; Jack Sarver turned in his resignation last month as a Council member and so the Republican Committee met and the Precinct Committee people nominated John Rensel who is re-joining us on City Council. So John welcome back. For Committee assignments John, you will be Chairman of the Public Utilities Committee, Vice-Chair of the Public Service Committee and a member of the Planning & Zoning Committee. So, what we did was anything that Jack Sarver was on; John Rensel has just replaced him for those. Welcome back and congratulations. Mr. Rensel: Thank you. COMMUNITY INPUT: Rita Comko, 215 Willson Drive, Tallmadge. Discussed the issue of parking in front yards. Dave Harrison, 235 Willson Avenue, Tallmadge. Also talked regarding the parking issue on Willson Drive. PLANNING & ZONING Jim Donovan – Chair Kim Ray – Vice Chair John Rensel rd Ordinance 75-2013 At 3 Reading. ADOPT 3-0 Amending Ordinances 79-1991 and 155-1990 to applicant, Summit Racing Equipment, Owner, Big Zilla Development, LLC, for a conditional zoning certificate for special nonresidential development at 1200 Southeast Avenue by granting conditional zoning approval for parking lot expansion.
