Maguire – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Maguire called the Council Committee meeting of 9-23-13 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Donovan, Mr. Stalnaker, Mr. Maguire, – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt, Dir. of Public Service Esler and Economic Developer Loughry. COMMUNITY INPUT: Pres. of Council: Is there anybody who would like to address City Council on any matter at all? No one responded. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Pres. of Council: For the students that are here tonight, Tallmadge City Council meets four times a month. Our Thursday meetings are the formal meetings where we enact legislation. Tonight our committees meet. We are comprised of six different committees. Each member of Council is the Chairperson of a committee. They also have two other members of Council on their committee. The Tallmadge City Council is the legislative branch of the government here in the City. The Mayor is the leader of the Administrative branch of the government. ADOPT 3-0 Authorizing the appropriation of funds from unappropriated fund balances and providing for immediate enactment. nd Ordinance 88-2013 At 2 Reading. AMEND/ADOPT 3-0 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of Lifepak 15 Heart Monitors without competitive bid through the State Pur- chasing Program #800252 and providing for immediate enactment. ADOPT 3-0 Determining the structure at 1240 Broadview Road to be blighted; authorizing the Mayor to enter into all necessary agreements pursuant to the Moving Ohio Forward Grant Program and providing for immediate enactment. nd Ordinance 89-2013 At 2 Reading. P.H. ON 10-10-13 @ 7:03 P.M. Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract nd GIVE 2 READING 3-0 for trash and recycling collection and providing for immediate enactment.
