Donovan – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Donovan called the Council Committee meeting of 10-20-14 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Ms. Tricaso, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Stalnaker and Mr. Donovan – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Pub. Service, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt and Economic Developer Loughry. COMMUNITY INPUT: Pres. of Council: I would like to welcome the students who came out this evening. Tallmadge City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday’s of the month for their Regular Council meeting. The preceding Monday’s are the Council Committee meetings. Council is divided into six different committees with one Council member acting as Chair of that committee. Legislation is discussed thoroughly at the Committee meeting and the committee gives a recommendation to Council of the Whole whether to adopt, amend, reject or table the legislation. We do allow time for community input at this point in the meeting. Is there anybody who would like to address Council; please come forward? No one responded. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. GIVE 2nd READING 3-0 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce for Economic Development Assistance and to maintain Chamber personnel at the Community Center and providing for immediate enactment. Ordinance 82-2014 At 2nd Reading. ADOPT 3-0 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of 333 Northeast Avenue from John Denovich and providing for immediate enactment.
