COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2014 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole James M. Donovan – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Donovan called the Council Committee meeting of 11-10-14 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Ms. Tricaso, Mrs. Kilway, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Stalnaker and Mr. Donovan – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Pub. Service Esler, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt and Economic Developer Loughry. Mrs. Ray was excused. COMMUNITY INPUT: Pres. of Council: I would like to welcome all of the students that are here tonight. Thanks for coming. Tallmadge City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday’s of the month for their Regular Council meeting. The preceding Monday’s are the Council Committee meetings. Council is divided into six different committees with one Council member acting as Chair of that committee. Legislation is discussed thoroughly at the Committee meeting and the committee gives a recommendation to Council of the Whole whether to adopt, amend, reject or table the legislation. We do allow time for community input at this point in the meeting. Is there anybody who would like to address Council; please come forward? No one responded. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ADOPT 1-0-1 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce for Economic Development Assistance and to maintain Chamber personnel at the Community Center and providing for immediate enactment. Ordinance 83-2014 At 2nd Reading. ON 12-11-14 @ 7:03 P.M. City of Tallmadge, Ohio, for current expenses and other expenditures during fiscal year ending December 31, 2015, appropriating the necessary funds for the administration thereof, authorizing transfers between funds, and pro- viding for immediate enactment.
