COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2015 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole James M. Donovan – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Donovan called the Council Committee meeting of 2-23-15 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Ms. Tricaso, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Stalnaker and Mr. Donovan – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Pub. Service Esler, Dir. of Law Raber, Dir. of Finance Shanafelt and Economic Developer Loughry. COMMUNITY INPUT: Pres. of Council: Tallmadge City Council meets the second and fourth Thursday’s of the month for the Regular Council meeting and the preceding Monday’s are the Council Committee meetings. Council is divided into six different committees with one of the Council members acting as the Chair of that committee. Legislation is discussed thoroughly at the Committee meeting and the committee gives a recommendation to the Council of the Whole whether to adopt, amend, reject, hold or table the legislation. We do allow time for community input at this point in the meeting. Is there anybody in the audience who would like to address Council now is the time and you are welcome to come forward. No takers. AMEND 3-0 Amending Chapter 160.06 of the Tallmadge Code of Ordinances for economic development programs, demolition and real estate program and providing for immediate enactment. ADOPT 3-0 Authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of two 2015 Ford SUV Interceptor police cruisers for the Police Department through the State Purchasing Program and/or pursuant to T.C.O. 143.06 and providing for immediate enact- ment. Ordinance 25-2015 At 2nd Reading. ADOPT 3-0 Authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids and the Mayor to enter into a contract for replacement of the roof at 46 North Avenue and providing for immediate enactment.
