COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2016 – 7:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ************** Committee of the Whole James M. Donovan – Pres. of Council CALL TO ORDER: Pres. of Council Donovan called the Council Committee meeting of 10-10-16 to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: Mr. Rensel, Ms. Tricaso, Mrs. Kilway, Mrs. Ray, Mr. Sisak, Mr. Stalnaker and Mr. Donovan – present. Also present were Mayor Kline, Dir. of Pub. Service Esler, Dir. of Finance Gilbride, Dir. of Law Raber and Dir. of Administration Cooper. COMMUNITY INPUT: Pres. of Council: Tallmadge City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday’s of the month for the Regular Council meeting and the preceding Monday’s are the Council Committee meetings. At the Committee meetings, legislation is discussed thoroughly with Council deciding to adopt, amend, reject, hold or table the legislation. We do allow time for community input at this point in the meeting if anybody would like to address Council, please come forward and state your name and address. No one responded. Dir. of Law: Mr. Donovan, if I could just welcome; we have the Builder’s Club from the Middle School here with us this evening. Their officers are all present and so I am happy to welcome them today. I have had a chance to meet with them a few weeks ago and talk a little bit about running meetings and so this gives them a chance to sit next to City Officials and see how we do it. So, welcome tonight. Mrs. Ray: We are glad to have you here. Mayor: Yes, thank you. I would also like to welcome them. I also had a meeting with them a little bit ago about doing a project in town and we are looking at painting fire hydrants. So, I’m not sure if we will get it in yet this year because it depends on the weather, but it is definitely a great program that I think group would be excellent in doing that. Mr. Sisak: What color? Mayor: Blue and gold! Mr. Sisak: I have seen green and orange ones! PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. ANNOUNCEMENTS: None. Ordinance 75-2016 At 2nd Reading.
