Commission for Individuals with Disabilities Minutes of the Meeting – Wednesday, August 25, 2021 Taunton City Hall 1. Roll Call: Meeting called to order at 5:30 PM by Chairperson Donna DiCorpo Present: Donna DiCorpo, Chairperson, Nancilee Lemaire, Vice-Chairperson Robert Folcik, Public Relations, Dianne Huggon, Secretary, Scott Martin, Treasurer City Councilor Dr. Gerald Croteau 2. Minutes of prior meeting Nancilee Lemaire made a Motion to accept the Minutes of the Meeting dated July 28, 2021, seconded by Scott Martin. 3. Chairperson’s Discussion: a. Ongoing issues: parking on sidewalks, parking violations  Commission will continue to report issues to chief@tauntonpd.com  The Chairperson will meet with Mayor Shaunna O’Connell and Chief of Staff Ed Correia on September 9 to discuss the role of this Commission and relationship between the City Council ADA Commission and appointed Commission for Individuals with Disabilities. b. Information on ADA/AAB regulations  Discussed roles and goals of the Commission. A virtual advanced training is being planned for November 2021. The training will be 3-4 hours. c. Update/Information on Transition Plan  Pursue scheduling a meeting with Keith Cwiekowsky to discuss the transition plan. d. Update on Mulcahey School construction  Correction to 6 sidewalks and walkways/slopes in progress.  The playground is still an issue. e. Conflict of Interest Law information  Commissioners are to read the Conflict of Interest Law for Municipal Employees, sign to acknowledge receipt of and return the signature page to the City Clerk’s office. 4. Old Business: No Update 5. New Business:  Martin Middle School – Continue to pursue accessible bathroom 6. Next Meeting: Wednesday, September 29, 2021 7. Public Input: None 8.
