RE: 2025 City of Taunton Political Calendar and proposed City Election Early Voting Dates
Dear Madam Mayor, Council President Pottier, and Members of the Municipal Council,
Please be advised on the Tuesday, December 17, 2024 Election Commission Meeting, the
Commission voted to recommend the attached 2025 municipal calendar, important dates, and
attached early voting dates to the Municipal Council for approval. Some highlights of the Election
Calendar is the City Election will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and the Preliminary
Election, if necessary, will be Tuesday, September 23, 2025. For the 2023 City Election, Council voted
to have six days of early voting. The six days resulted in 796 in-person early ballots cast, or 8.7% of all
ballots voted. In addition to six days of early voting for the City Election, the Election Commission
also recommends six days of early voting for the City Preliminary, if we have one.
I respectfully request that Council can vote to accept the municipal calendar, important dates, and
early voting dates as presented. Once all dates have been approved, our office will advertise these
dates on the City Website, local newspaper, and through various other channels.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.

RE: Sewer Extension on Dolan Circle
Dear Council President Pottier and Members of the Municipal Council:
Since several Councilors have been involved in the ongoing compliance issues with regard to
Deep Pond Farm & Stable, Inc. ("Deep Pond") related to sewage disposal, this correspondence is an
update with regard to sewer availability on Dolan Circle. The Mayor is committed to working with
businesses in Taunton and has tasked her team with ensuring Deep Pond is in compliance with City
Ordinances.
After a coordinated effort by the Department Directors and appropriate stakeholders for Deep
Pond, a proposed solution has been reached, and it is anticipated that this matter will be before the
Department of Public Works Committee in the upcoming weeks.

Re: Request for HCA Waiver for LMCC LLC d/b/a Y Cannabis
Dear Municipal Council Members:
On behalf of LMCC LLC d/b/a Y Cannabis ("Y Cannabis"), which currently operates a licensed
Marijuana Retailer establishment at 83 County Street, please accept this correspondence as a
formal request to appear before the Municipal Council for a Host Community Agreement Waiver
in accordance with Section 222-1.C.1 of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Taunton, as
amended.
Y Cannabis is in the process of renewing its Marijuana Retailer with the Massachusetts Cannabis
Control Commission (the "CCC"). As the Municipal Council likely is aware, the CCC now
requires a licensee to submit a copy of a Host Community Agreement ("HCA") or HCA Waiver
that complies with current state law and the CCC's regulations concerning HCAs, 935 CMR
500.180. To enable Y Cannabis to submit a complete and compliant renewal application to the
CCC for the company's Marijuana Retailer license, we respectfully request that the Municipal
Council approve and authorize the execution of an HCA Waiver at the earliest convenience.
For the Municipal Council's reference and convenience, a blank copy of the CCC's HCA Waiver
Form is included with this letter.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, and do not hesitate to contact me with any
questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
