September 13, 2016 Registrar of Voters Board Meeting Attendees:  Bill Tranter, Chairman  Carol Welch  Roger Hoffmann Meeting was called to order at 5:00pm Meeting minutes of August 9, 2016 was approved at the meeting by the Board, motion carried 3-0. Vouchers were reviewed and approved – motion carried 3-0. New Business Election Updates and Discussions A question was raised in reference to allow any of the Board Members to hold a sign or attend any upcoming events for any candidate running for office. The most likely answer was for each Board Member to use their discretion. At 5:35 pm City Clerk, Rosemarie Blackwell attended the meeting. She explained in detail how the early voting information would be delivered to the Registrar of Voters Office daily, along with a “special” sheet for Lisa to record and update those individuals who had already voted. This material will then be returned to the City Clerk’s Office and locked up. The early voting will take place at Temporary City Hall, 141 Oak Street, Taunton, MA 02780, near the Mayor’s Office. Early voting starts Saturday, October 29, 2016. Last day of early voting is Friday, November 4, 2016. State or Federal grants will be available due to the hours of the early voting dates. Because of the “new” early voting dates this year, the Board of Registrar of Voters, will not have any other duties to perform from this Office. Old Business No old business.
