ELECTION DEPARTMENT MEETING MINUTES Date and Time: Tuesday, May 17, 2022, 3:00 PM Place: City Hall, 15 Summer Street 2nd Floor Conference Room Attendees:  Dan Barbour  Frank Biedak  Jason Roomes  Carol Welch  Pamela Menconi  Jeanette Berrios The meeting was called to order at 3:00 PM. Commissioner Welch made a motion to accept the minutes of April 19, 2022. So voted unanimously. COMMUNITY INPUT None NEW BUSINESS None OLD BUSINESS The Director stated that the office is always looking to add to their list of poll workers and anyone interested should contact the Elections Department. The Director also stated that split shifts for poll workers would be considered for those that cannot work a full day, with the exception of Wardens and Clerks. Full day shifts are still preferred but the office recognizes that flexibility is needed and is willing to work with individuals who may need reduced hours. Chairman Barbour stated that he received positive feedback about the office from Sherry Costa-Hanlon relative to recent correspondence she received from the Director. A small discussion ensued about what the needs of the office will be for the upcoming election cycle. The Director stated she would better be able to predict the needs once legislation was finalized at the end of June. It was agreed that there would be no meeting for July, with the understanding that could change if need be. Next Meeting dates: June 28, 2022 and August 9, 2022 Meeting adjourned at 3:12 pm Respectfully submitted, Carol Welch, Secretary
