ELECTION DEPARTMENT MEETING MINUTES Date and Time: Tuesday, October 18, 2022, 3:03 PM Place: City Hall, 15 Summer Street 2nd Floor Conference Room Attendees:  Dan Barbour  Jason Roomes  Carol Welch  Pamela Menconi  Jeanette Berrios The meeting was called to order at 3:00 PM. Commissioner Roomes made a motion to table the acceptance of the minutes from the September meeting. So voted unanimously. COMMUNITY INPUT None NEW BUSINESS Election Update The Director gave an update on the November election activity. To date, the office has mailed out 7,062 early ballots, with new applications being received daily. The Director also reviewed the in person Early Voting schedule, which will begin October 22. The Director explained the Advanced Removal Process that would be utilized to keep up with the volume of early voted ballots. A lengthy discussion ensued. Election Day delivery of ballots was discussed. Chairman Barbour suggested looking into one dedicated runner for Election Day for this purpose. The Director agreed that suggestion was a good idea that should be looked into for future elections. A small discussion ensued.
