Taylor Borough Council Hearing April 24, 2018 The Taylor Borough Council held a Public Hearing regarding the transfer of a Liquor License at 7:15 P.M. at the Taylor Municipal Building, 122 Union Street, Taylor, Pennsylvania. On Roll Call, Councilman DeAngelo, Yes; Councilman Fallon, Yes; Councilman Tigue, No; Councilman Derenick, No; Councilman Digwood, Yes; Councilman McKeel, Yes; Councilman Mickavicz, Yes; Mayor Praschak, No. President Mickavicz chaired the meeting. First, the Chairman stated that the reason for this hearing was to get Public input for or against the transfer of a Liquor License. The Chairman stated that the Borough’s presentation for the hearing included: 1. A copy of Application for Liquor License Transfer 2. Proof of Notice of Public Hearing Ad in the Scranton Times (3/30/18 & 4/6/18) Next, Solicitor Jones gave a detailed overview. The Applicant is AL&R, LLC to transfer liquor license #R-4480 bid # 90936 from T&C Beverage, Taylor #1, LLC 1500 S Main Ave Taylor, Pennsylvania, to AL&R, LLC 527 N Main St. Taylor, Pennsylvania. The description of the Business is Take-Out Beer and Prepared Sandwiches and Hoagies. The Business is going to be located in the premises of Glen Rinaldi on N Main Ave and the taxes are paid on the property. Next, The Chairman asked Attorney Joseph Mashinski who represent AL&R to come forward. Attorney Mashinski stated AL&R is looking to seek approval to sell 6 packs at Al’s Quick Mart, AL&R will comply with all regulations, and rules. Attorney Mashinski stated that AL&R will not be having any live entertainment in the business, and this is step #1 with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. Next, Solicitor Jones confirmed with Attorney Mashinski that the testimony he provided is certain with his client, and that they have No Objections with the Resolution #3 of 2018. Next, the Chairman asked the public if there were any questions or comments. No one from the public was in attendance. The Chairman also stated that this will all be decided by Council in a Special Meeting to follow. The Meeting was adjourned. __________________________ ____________________ Kenneth F.
