Taylor Borough Council Hearing May 14, 2019 The Taylor Borough Council held a Public Hearing on May 14, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Taylor Municipal Building, 122 Union Street, Taylor, Pennsylvania. On Roll Call, Councilman DeAngelo, Yes; Councilman Fallon, Yes; Councilman Tigue, Yes; Councilman Derenick, No; Councilman Digwood, Yes; Councilman McKeel, Yes; Councilman Mickavicz, Yes; Mayor Praschak, Yes. President Mickavicz chaired the meeting. First, the Chairman stated that the reason for this hearing was to hear any public comment or input regarding the request to transfer a Liquor License from Jay and Z, LLC - 912 S. Main Street, Old Forge, PA to The Union Craft House, LLC – 601 N. Main Street, Taylor, PA. Next, the Chairman noted that there was a sign-in sheet in the back of the room and asked Residents to please sign in. He then introduced the Solicitor to speak. The Solicitor, Howard Terreri, stated that tonight’s meeting was to consider the application submitted by The Union Craft House, LLC for the transfer of a Liquor License - PLCB License # 3103 from Jay and Z, LLC. Located at 912 S. Main Street, Old Forge PA to The Union Craft House, 601 N. Main Street, Taylor, PA. The Representatives from the Application are in attendance. It will be Council’s consideration at tonight’s meeting if the transfer is approved. The Solicitor questioned the Applicants if the Taxes are all paid for the current property. He inquired if there will be jobs created in the Municipality and if there is a policy in effect to control underage drinking. The Applicants informed the Solicitor the taxes were current. There would be jobs created in the Municipality and there is a policy and training for employees regarding dealing with underage drinking. Mr. Zeleniak stated for the record that the hearing was held as a result of the passage of Ordinance No. 4 of 2003 regarding the transfer of PLCB Licenses within the Borough of Taylor. Upon Questioning from the Chairman, Mr. Zeleniak stated that adjacent property owners for 601 N. Main Street were notified of the Hearing Date and License Transfer. The actual PIN # 16608010002 for the property is the subject property location. There was no public comment or input. The Chairman entertained a motion to adjourn the Hearing. Motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Tigue and seconded by Councilman DeAngelo.
