NOTICE
This Meeting will be held with respect to the “Social Distancing Guidelines”; and will be
conducted remotely, in whole or in part, by video and/or audio conferencing and recording
and/or by teleconference.
Because of the Governor’s “warning wave” of the spread of Covid-19, members of the general
public (except for City officials, officers, and employees and members of the press) are
prohibited from attending this meeting in person.
However, any person who wishes to address the City Council during this meeting may send an
email during this meeting to the Mayor at mayorbarry@taylorville.net. If timely received, your
email will be addressed during the subparagraph (g) of 5 ILCS 120/2.06 “general public
comments” portion of the Agenda.

Motion to recommend to the City Council to bid and/or advertise one(1) Plant Operator 1
position in the Water Department
Motion to recommend to the City Council to promote Derek McConnell to a Heavy Equipment
Operator in the Water Department
Motion to recommend to the City Council to promote Tammy Rogers to an Office Level II in
the City Clerk’s Office
Emergency Services -
Motion to recommend to the City Council to approve the purchase of three (3) pagers at a cost not
to exceed $2,457.00 for the Fire Department
Motion to recommend to the City Council to purchase one (1) set of turnout gear for Firefighter
Call at a cost not to exceed $2,087.00 from Mac’s Fire & Safety
Motion to approve and/or ratify payment of bills ($297,377.02)
• Per subparagraph (g) of 5 ILCS 120/2.06, this portion of the City Council Meeting is
reserved for any person wishing to address the Council on any relevant subject matters
concerning the City. The Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1 et seq.) mandates NO
action shall be taken on subject matters not listed on the agenda, but the Council may direct
staff to address the topic or refer the subject matter to a future Council and/or Committee
Meeting. If anyone wishes to address the Council, please provide your name and address,
limit your comments or presentation to three (3) minutes, and avoid repetitious comments.
