AGENDA TAYLORVILLE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY, MAY 10, 2021 CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS AT 6:00 P.M. 1. Motion to go into closed session, pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1) and (c)(3) to discuss the vacancy in the Office of City Treasurer, to create the Office of Deputy Treasurer, and discuss the impending vacancy in the Office of the Deputy Clerk, and the appointment of and/or bidding and/or advertisement for persons to such Offices, and related employment and compensation for such appointed Officers, and any and all subject matters relating thereto; and to include, if present, the following persons to be present during all or part of such closed session, namely: the Mayor, Aldermen, City Attorney, City Clerk, Human Resource Manager and such other person or persons as the Mayor may decide and announce during this Special City Council meeting and/or during such closed session. 2. Mayor’s appointment of a City Treasurer, and motion to approve such appointment and/or any and all subject matters relating thereto and/or any of the aforesaid subject matters discussed in open or closed session. 3. Motion to create the Office of Deputy Treasurer and to bid and/or advertise for a person for such Office, and related employment and compensation for the Deputy Treasurer and/or any and all subject matters relating thereto and/or any of the aforesaid subject matters discussed in open or closed session. 4. Motion to bid and/or advertise for a person to fill the impending vacancy of the Deputy Clerk and/or any and all subject matters relating thereto and/or any of the aforesaid subject matters discussed in open or closed session. • Per subparagraph (g) of 5 ILCS 120/2.06, this portion of the City Council Meeting is reserved for any person wishing to address the Council on any relevant subject matters concerning the City. The Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/1 et seq.) mandates NO action shall be taken on subject matters not listed on the agenda, but the Council may direct staff to address the topic or refer the subject matter to a future Council and/or Committee Meeting. If anyone wishes to address the Council, please provide your name and address, limit your comments or presentation to three (3) minutes, and avoid repetitious comments. Thank you. 5.
