Fire Chief Tim Adler Adam Robarge, CCTP Public Safety Director Deputy EMS Chief Ambulance Commission Meeting Minutes: April 30, 2026 Date/Location of Meeting: April 30, 2026, Public Safety Building Members in Attendance: Kerwin Greeno, Richard Yarrington, Jeff Cram, Brede Sorenson, and Rick Murray Members Absent: Joyce Stenklyft and Sandra Vierck Others Present: Public Safety Director Tim Adler, Deputy EMS Chief Adam Robarge, Public Safety Administrative Assistant Christi Anderson, and City Treasurer Justin Derhammer via Teams Meeting called to order at 5:01 PM • Approve Minutes: Motion made by Rick Murray, second by Brede Sorenson to approve the February 26, 2026, meeting minutes. Motion carried. • Persons Desiring to be Heard: None. • Discussion and action for creation for vehicle replacement fund: Councilman Yarrington requested information on creating a vehicle replacement fund. After discussion with Treasurer Derhammer, Council member Yarrington made a motion to proceed working with Treasurer Derhammer to create a vehicle replacement fund to show as an expense in the operation budget to take before the City Council and to add vehicle replacement fund to the next agenda to determine more specifics. • Director’s Report: o Staffing ▪ There is a full-time position available. ▪ We have a few applicants to review. o Building Update ▪ No drastic issues with the building. ▪ Chief Adler is creating a PM program for maintaining equipment and outside yard work. o Vehicle Update ▪ Normal wear and tear, and regular maintenance. ▪ Unit 266 should be finished with the remount process towards the end of May 2026. Glendale Avenue* Tomah, WI 54660 * Phone 608-374-7460 ▪ Unit 265 was having several issues with horns going off, lights going on and off, and door locks. ▪ Unit 265 will go for remount at the end of 2027 and Unit 268 in 2028. o Monthly statistics and invoices presented for March 2026. ▪ See Attached Director’s Report. ▪ Fuel costs increased approximately $2,000.00 from last month. ▪ Chief Adler is going to present the Revenues with Comparison to Budget report at future meetings. ▪ Deputy Chief Robarge stated that the next meeting was during Tractor Pull. Decision was made to move it from June 25, 2026, to June 23, 2026. • Election of Officers. o Voting for Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. o Chairperson: Commission member Jeff Cram nominated by Council member Richard Yarrington, no additional nomination made. Motion by Council member Yarrington to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Commission member Cram. Second by Commission member Brede Sorenson. Motion carried. o Vice-Chairperson: Commission member Brede Sorenson nominated by Council member Yarrington. Commission member Sorenson respectfully declined. o Vice-Chairperson: Commission member Rick Murray nominated by Commission member Jeff Cram, no additional nomination made. Motion by Commission member Kerwin Grenno to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Commission member Murray. Second by Commission member Brede Sorenson. Motion carried. o Motion made by Rick Murray, second by Kerwin Greeno to approve the Director’s Report. Motion carried. • Adjournment: Motion made by Brede Sorenson, second by Kerwin Greeno to adjourn the meeting. The meeting will be held in the training room at the Public Safety building located at 400 N.
