MINUTES OF SPECIAL BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, JULY 8, 2013 5:30 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tague. Other members present were: Commissioner Walicki Commissioner Roquemore Members absent: Commissioner Torres – Excused Commissioner Beauvais Others present: Building Official – David Allen Code Enforcement Officer – Danny Toombs City Secretary – Doris Speer City Attorney – Loren Smith Community Development Director – Craig Meyers City Engineer – Lori Lakatos City Planner – Rebeca Guerra Assistant City Planner – Rodney Schmidt Fire Marshal – Doug Sanguedolce 2.0 The following public comment was received: Tom Crofoot - Expressed his relief at the demolition of the building; 1430 Neal, 77375 requested an explanation regarding why it takes so long to demolish substandard buildings. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Dan Toombs, Code Enforcement Officer, presented report on the status of the property located at 302 Mechanic Street. The building has been demolished and all debris has been removed.  Minutes Special Building Standards Commission Meeting July 8, 2013 Page 2 of 2 3.2 No action was taken regarding consideration to declare the property located at 302 Mechanic Street to be substandard under Sections 14-346 through 14-347 of the Code of Ordinances. 3.3 No action was taken regarding consideration to set a date for a hearing to allow the owner of the property located at 302 Mechanic Street to show cause why such building should not be declared to be substandard under Section 14-343 of the Code of Ordinances and why owner should not be ordered to repair or destroy such building. 4.0 Motion was made by Commissioner Roquemore, second by Commissioner Walicki, to adjourn.
