MINUTES OF SPECIAL TOMBALL CITY COUNCIL, PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, AND DOWNTOWN TOMBALL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, APRIL 11, 2011 7:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council and Downtown Tomball Advisory Committee meetings were called to order by Mayor Gretchen Fagan. The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Tom Crofoot. Rodney Hutson was elected Chair. Nominations were made for Cindy Jaeger or Chris Nash for Vice Chair. Cindy Jaeger was elected Vice Chair. 2.0 No Public Comments were received.  Minutes Special Joint City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission and Downtown Tomball Advisory Committee Meeting April 11, 2011 Page 3 of 4 3.0 Motion was made by Rodney Hutson, second by Cindy Jaeger, to approve the Minutes of the Downtown Tomball Advisory Committee Meeting (#1) of March 3, 2011. Motion carried unanimously. 4.0 New Business: Peggy Fiandaca, PSA, presented the results of the April 9, 2011 Downtown Specific Plan Public Design Workshop and Question & Answer Session and the April 11, 2011 Downtown Specific Plan Design Studio Event: 4.1 Project Update 4.2 Design Charrette Results: a. Public Workshop #1 b. 2nd Saturday at the Depot c. Design Studio d. Focus Group 4.3 Downtown Specific Plan Discussion The Downtown Specific Plan includes six areas: a. Historic Main Street b. Old Town Plaza Area c. Commercial d. Mixed Use Transition e. Old Town Residential f. Museum Center 4.4 Consider Next Steps a. Land Use Classification Chart b. Hierarchy of Streets c. Exhibits/Maps on Display The next scheduled meetings will be a Joint Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meeting on July 18, a Downtown Tomball Advisory Committee meeting on July 19, and a Public Workshop on July 19. 5.0 Motion was made by Commissioner Crofoot, second by Commissioner Hudgens, to adjourn the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
