MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2012 4:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order Mayor Fagan announced that no quorum of Council was present. The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was called to order by Evelyn Torres-Chervenak, Vice Chair. Other Planning and Zoning Commissioners present: Michelle Beauvais, Commissioner Darrell Roquemore, Commissioner Others present: Assistant City Manager – Christal Weber City Secretary – Doris Speer City Attorney – Loren Smith City Planner – Rebeca Guerra Assistant City Engineer – Lori Lakatos Assistant City Planner – Rodney Schmidt 2.0 No public comments were received. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Consideration was given by the Planning and Zoning Commission to ZONING CASE P12-477: City-initiated text amendment to the Tomball Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2008-01) to amend Section 43.8 (“Temporary Structures & Uses”) by allowing governmental entities and public school districts to utilize temporary buildings under certain conditions. • Vice Chair Torres-Chervenak called the Public Hearing on ZONING CASE P12-477 to order at 4:01 p.m.; no public Minutes Special Joint City Council and Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting September 4, 2012 Page 2 of 2 comments being received, Vice Chair Torres-Chervenak closed the Public Hearing at 4:04 p.m. Motion was made by Commissioner Roquemore, second by Commissioner Beauvais, to approve ZONING CASE P12-477: City- initiated text amendment to the Tomball Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2008-01) to amend Section 43.8 (“Temporary Structures & Uses”) by allowing governmental entities and public school districts to utilize temporary buildings under certain conditions. Motion carried unanimously. 3.2 Motion was made by Commissioner Beauvais, second by Commissioner Roquemore, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned. Notice is hereby given of a Special meeting of the City of Tomball City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission, to be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 4:00 p.m., City Hall, 401 Market Street, Tomball, Texas 77375, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items.
