MINUTES OF SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF THE TOMBALL CITY COUNCIL AND THE TOMBALL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2020 5:00 P.M. 1.0 Meetings of the Tomball City Council and the Tomball Economic Development Corporation were called to order at 5:03 p.m. by Mayor/TEDC President Fagan. Smith City Attorney – Justin Pruitt Finance Director – Glenn Windsor Assistant City Secretary – Tracy Garcia CSO-Administrative Assistant – Sasha Luna Executive Director-TEDC – Kelly Violette Assistant Director-TEDC – Tiffani Wooten Administrative Assistant-TEDC – Tori Gleason Senior Vice President, Colliers International – Tom Condon Branch Manager, Gunda Corporation – Kyle Bertrand  Minutes Special Tomball City Council and Tomball Economic Development Corporation Meeting March 16, 2020 Page 2 of 3 2.0 No Public Comments were received. 3.0 New Business: 3.1 Executive Session: The Tomball City Council and the Tomball Economic Development Corporation entered into an Executive Session at 5:05 p.m., as authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, The Texas Open Meetings Act, for the following purpose: * Section 551.072 - Deliberation regarding real property: Deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property. Upon reconvening at 5:28 p.m., the following actions were taken: 3.2 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Klein Quinn, to approve Resolution No. 2020-10-TEDC authorizing and approving an Amendment to the Tomball Economic Development Corporation Fiscal Year 2019-2020 Budget to allow for the expenditure of funds and related project costs for the acquisition of land, buildings, equipment, facilities, targeted infrastructure, and improvements near Old Town Tomball. Motion carried unanimously. 3.3 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Klein Quinn, to approve, as a Project of the Tomball EDC, the Expenditure of Funds and Related Project Costs, and the Execution of Contracts and Documentation by the EDC Executive Director, for the Acquisition of Land, Buildings, Equipment, Facilities, Targeted Infrastructure, and Improvements near Old Town Tomball that Create or Retain Primary Jobs and are Suitable for the Development, Retention, or Expansion of: Manufacturing and Industrial Facilities; Research and Development Facilities; Distribution Centers; Small Warehouse Facilities Capable of Serving as Decentralized Storage and Distribution Centers; Primary Job Training Facilities for Use by Institutions of Higher Education; or, Regional or National Corporate Headquarters Facilities. Motion carried unanimously. 4.0 Motion was made by Councilman Townsend, second by Councilman Ford, to adjourn the City Council and TEDC special joint meeting.
