MINUTES OF REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, APRIL 15, 2019 6:00 P.M. 1.0 Meeting was called to order by Mayor Fagan. Other members present: Councilman Ford Councilman Stoll Councilman Klein Quinn Members absent: Councilman Degges - Excused Councilman Townsend - Excused Others present: City Manager – Robert Hauck Assistant City Manager – David Esquivel City Secretary – Doris Speer City Attorney – Loren B. Smith Director of Public Works – Beth Jones Fire Chief – Randy Parr Marketing Director – Mike Baxter Director of Community Development – Craig Meyers CSO Administrative Assistant – Sasha Luna Community Center Manager – Rosalie Dillon Senior Accountant – Christine Brookshire Warrant Officer/Bailiff – Ron McGullion 2.0 The invocation was led by Robert Hauck. 3.0 Pledges to the U. S. and Texas Flags were led by Randy Parr. 4.0 No public comments were received. Minutes Regular City Council Meeting April 15, 2019 Page 2 of 3 5.0 Reports and Announcements: • May 11, 2019 – 2nd Saturday at the Depot • Reports by City staff and members of Council about items of community interest on which no action will be taken: 6.0 Motion was made by Councilman Ford, second by Councilman Klein Quinn, to approve the Minutes of the April 1, 2019 Regular Tomball City Council Meeting Motion carried unanimously. 7.0 New Business: 7.1 Motion was made by Councilman Stoll, second by Councilman Ford, to authorize the City Manager to Execute Contract between the General Land Office and the City of Tomball for the Award of the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery, for an Amount of $1,585,396.00. Motion carried unanimously. 7.2 Motion was made by Councilman Ford, second by Councilman Stoll, to approve Resolution No. 2019-09, a Resolution of the City of Tomball, Texas with Regard to a Proposed Public Improvement District, Making Findings Related to the Advisability of Proposed Improvements, the Estimated Cost of the Improvements, the Method of Assessment and the Apportionment of the Costs between the District and the City as a Whole; and Making Other Findings Related to the District (TPID 10). Motion carried unanimously. 7.3 Motion was made by Councilman Ford, second by Councilman Stoll, to approve Resolution No. 2019-10, a Joint Resolution of the City of Tomball, Texas, with Harris County, establishing the Harris County Emergency Management Organization, which Shall Consist of the Officers and Employees of the City and of the County as Designated in an Inter-Jurisdictional Emergency Management Plan, Together with Such Organized Volunteer Groups as That Plan May Specify. Motion carried unanimously. 8.0 Motion was made by Councilman Ford, second by Councilman Klein Quinn, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. Meeting adjourned.
