MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2011 6:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Gretchen Fagan. Other members present were: Councilman Quinn Councilman Stoll Councilman Brown Councilman Townsend Councilman Dodson Council-Elect – Field Hudgens Others present: City Manager – George Shackelford City Secretary – Doris Speer Chief of Police – Robert Hauck Alternate Election Judge – Patsy Kinsey 2.0 Canvass of Election Escrutinio de la Elección Kiểm Phiếu của Cuộc Bầu Cử The Canvass of the May 14, 2011 General City Election was presented by Patsy Kinsey, Alternate Election Judge. El escrutinio de la Elección General de la Ciudad del 14 de mayo de 2011 fue presentado por Patsy Kinsey, Jueza electoral alternativa. Việc Kiểm Phiếu của Cuộc Bầu Cử Tổng Quát Thành Phố ngày 14 tháng Năm 2011 đã được bà Patsy Kinsey, Trưởng Ban Điều Hành Cuộc Bầu Cử đệ trình. 2.1 Motion was made by Councilman Quinn, second by Councilman Townsend, to adopt Resolution No. 2011-05, a Resolution and Order Canvassing the Returns and Declaring  Minutes Special City Council Meeting May 17, 2011 Page 2 of 3 the Results of the General Election Held on May 14, 2011. El Concejal Quinn hizo la moción, secundada por el Concejal Townsend, para adoptar la Resolución Nro. 2011-05, una Resolución y Orden de Escrutinio y Declaración de Resultados de la Elección General Celebrada el 14 de mayo de 2011. Kiến nghị được nhất trí thông qua. 2.2 The Oath of Office was administered by Mayor Fagan to Preston Dodson as the newly elected Councilman, Position 5 and to Field Hudgens as the newly elected Councilman, Position 1. El Juramento al Cargo fue administrado por la Alcaldesa Fagan a Preston Dodson como nuevo Concejal, Posición 5 y a Field Hudgens como nuevo Concejal, Posición 1. Tuyên Thệ Nhậm Chức đã được tiến hành bởi Thị Trưởng Fagan cho Preston Dodson là Nghị Viên mới được bầu chọn, Vị Trí 5 và cho Field Hudgens Nghị Viên mới được bầu chọn, Vị Trí 1. 2.3 Councilman Brown nominated Mark Stoll as Mayor Pro-Tem and Councilman Stoll nominated Derek Townsend as Mayor Pro-Tem, in Accordance with Section 6.08 of the City of Tomball Home Rule Charter. Nominations ceased. Vote was as follows: Councilman Hudgens Mark Stoll Councilman Stoll Derek Townsend Councilman Brown Mark Stoll Councilman Townsend Mark Stoll Councilman Dodson Mark Stoll Councilman Mark Stoll is elected as Mayor Pro-Tem. El Concejal Brown nominó a Mark Stoll como Alcalde interino y el Concejal Stoll nominó a Derek Townsend como Alcalde interino, de acuerdo con la sección 6.08 de la Carta Orgánica de Gobierno Local de la Ciudad de Tomball. Las nominaciones cesaron. La votación fue de la siguiente manera: Concejal Hudgens Mark Stoll Concejal Stoll Derek Townsend Concejal Brown Mark Stoll Concejal Townsend Mark Stoll Concejal Dodson Mark Stoll  Minutes Special City Council Meeting May 17, 2011 Page 3 of 3 El Concejal Mark Stoll es elegido Alcalde interino. Nghị viên Brown đề cử Mark Stoll làm Thị Trưởng Tạm Thời và Nghị Viên Stoll đã đề cử Derek Townsend làm Thị Trưởng Tạm Thời, chiếu theo Mục 6.08 của Hiến Chương Điều Lệ Địa Phương Thành Phố Tomball. Việc đề cử đã có kết quả. Phiếu bầu chọn như sau: Nghị Viên Hudgens Mark Stoll Nghị Viên Stoll Derek Townsend Nghị Viên Brown Mark Stoll Nghị Viên Townsend Mark Stoll Nghị Viên Dodson Mark Stoll Nghị Viên Mark Stoll đã được bầu chọn làm Thị Trưởng Tạm Thời. 3.0 Motion was made by Councilman Hudgens, second by Councilman Townsend, to adjourn.
