MINUTES OF SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, JULY 16, 2012 4:00 P.M. 1.0 Call to Order The Council meeting was called to order by Mayor Gretchen Fagan. Other members present were: Councilman Stoll Councilman Townsend Councilman Dodson Councilman Hudgens Councilman Brown Others present: City Manager – George Shackelford Assistant City Manager – Christal Weber City Secretary – Doris Speer Director Human Resources – Lisa Coe Police Chief – Rob Hauck Fire Chief – Randy Parr Director of Public Works – David Kauffman Finance Director – Glenn Windsor Assistant City Engineer – Lori Lakatos IT Specialist – Doug Tippey Fire Marshal – Doug Sanguedolce Accountant – Craig Price 2.0 No public comments were received. 3.0 Workshop Session: 3.1 The Tomball City Council entered into a Workshop Session regarding the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Budget. George Shackelford provided an overview of additions and changes made to the FY 2012-2013 Budget following Council’s direction at the July 2, 2012 Special Meeting and presented the major items proposed in the FY 2012- 2013 Budget.  Minutes Special City Council Meeting July 16, 2012 Page 2 of 2 Information was presented regarding the estimated cost for sidewalk projects, as requested by Council, and the Hirschfield water and gas extension estimate, for inclusion in the FY 2012-2013 Budget. Discussion was held regarding the possible early extinguishment of debt, refinancing the 2003 Bond Series in the future, and including funds in the budget for a contingent from Tomball to attend Telgte’s 775th Anniversary observances in September 2013. 4.0 Motion was made by Councilman Dodson, second by Councilman Townsend, to adjourn.
