MINUTES OF REGULAR PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING CITY OF TOMBALL, TEXAS MONDAY, APRIL 11, 2016 6:00 P.M. 1.0 The meeting was called to order by Chair Barbara Tague at 6:00 p.m. Other members present were: Commissioner Harry Byrd Commissioner Dane Dunagin Commissioner Richard Anderson Commissioner Darrell Roquemore Others present: Community Development Director/Engineer – Craig Meyers Assistant City Engineer – Beth Jones City Planner – Harold Ellis Assistant City Planner – Amelia Lindley Community Development Coordinator – Kim Chandler City Attorney – Loren Smith 2.0 No Public Comments were received. 3.0 Harold Ellis, City Planner, presented the following:  Gave an update on prior Planning & Zoning cases that were forwarded to City Council.  Polled the Commission regarding possibly changing the time of regularly scheduled Planning & Zoning Commission Meetings from 6:00 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. Meetings will stay at the same scheduled time of 6:00 p.m. 4.0 Motion was made by Commissioner Byrd, second by Commissioner Roquemore to approve the Minutes of the Regular Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting of March 21, 2016. Motion carried unanimously.  Minutes Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting April 11, 2016 Page 2 of 4 5.0 New Business: 5.1 Consideration to Approve Final Plat of CURTIS MORRIS: Being a 0.2043 acre tract of land situated in the William Hurd Survey, Abstract Number 371, of Harris County, Texas, and being a Replat of Lots 13, 14, 15 and the Westerly 14 Feet of Lot 16, Block 19 of Revised Map of Tomball, a subdivision in Harris County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 4, Page 25, of the Map Records of Harris County, Texas, and being the same land described in deed recorded in Clerk's File Number V766456 of the Real Property Records of Harris County, Texas. Amelia Lindley, Assistant City Planner, presented recommendation of approval with contingencies. Motion was made by Commissioner Anderson, second by Commissioner Dunagin, to approve CURTIS MORRIS, with contingencies. Motion carried unanimously. 5.2 Consideration to Approve Final Plat of TOMBALL BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY PARK - LOT 2 REPLAT: Being a subdivision of 31.7194 Acres and being a Replat of Lot 2 of Tomball Business and Technology Park as recorded in Film Code No. 653006 of the Harris County Map Records, in the Elizabeth Smith Survey, Abstract No. 70, City of Tomball, Harris County, Texas. Amelia Lindley, Assistant City Planner, presented recommendation of approval with contingencies. Motion was made by Commissioner Roquemore, second by Commissioner Byrd, to approve TOMBALL BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY PARK - LOT 2 REPLAT, with contingencies. Motion carried unanimously 5.3 Consideration to Approve Final Plat of HAPPY TIRE STORE: Being a subdivision of a 3.2687 Acre of land situated in the Jesse Pruitt Survey, Abstract No. 629, Harris County, Texas and being the same land described in Deed Recorded in Clerk's File No. R249550 of the Real Property Records, Harris County, Texas. Amelia Lindley, Assistant City Planner, presented recommendation of approval with contingencies. Motion was made by Commissioner Dunagin, second by Commissioner Roquemore, to approve HAPPY TIRE STORE, with contingencies.  Minutes Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting April 11, 2016 Page 3 of 4 Motion carried unanimously 5.4 Consideration to Approve Final Plat of IN SIGHT OF ZION: Being a subdivision of a 2.9219 Acre Tract in the Joseph Miller Survey, Abstract-50, Harris County, Texas. Amelia Lindley, Assistant City Planner, presented recommendation of approval with contingencies. Motion was made by Commissioner Anderson, second by Commissioner Byrd, to approve IN SIGHT OF ZION, with contingencies. Motion carried unanimously 5.5 Consideration to Approve Final Plat of PRELIMINARY REPLAT OF PARKWAY OASIS PARTIAL REPLAT NO. 3: Being Lots 1A & 1B, Block 1, 4.4459 Acres, an addition to the City of Tomball, Harris County, Texas. Amelia Lindley, Assistant City Planner, presented recommendation of approval with contingencies. Motion was made by Commissioner Byrd, second by Commissioner Anderson, to approve PRELIMINARY REPLAT OF PARKWAY OASIS PARTIAL REPLAT NO. 3, with contingencies. Motion carried unanimously 6.0 Motion was made by Commissioner Anderson, second by Commissioner Byrd, to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
