Approved by City Council & WPCA MINUTES January 2, 2024 Vol 27, Page 305 CITY COUNCIL & WPCA Vote: Unanimous SPECIAL MEETING City Hall Auditorium / Zoom December 21, 2023 A SPECIAL MEETING of the City Council and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) of the City of Torrington was held at the City Hall Auditorium on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Present at the City Hall Auditorium was Mayor Elinor Carbone. City Councilors Drake Waldron, Stephen Ivain, David Oliver, Anne Ruwet, Molly Spino, and Treasurer Dan Farley participated via Zoom. Councilor Paul Cavagnero was absent. Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 8:44 a.m. 2200 Torringford West Street – Project #143-PI-47 On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Spino, the Council, on the recommendation of the Small Cities Committee, voted unanimously to approve an amount not to exceed $4,000 for the installation of a new oil tank replacing the rusted oil tank at 2200 Torringford West Street. 42 Pythian Avenue – Project # 143SC1801-18 On a motion by Councilor Waldron, seconded by Councilor Ivain, the Council, on the recommendation of the Small Cities Committee, voted unanimously to approve an additional $32, at 42 Pythian Avenue. The current Small Cities loans total $33,881.39, this will increase the total amount of the loans to $33,913.39 and the mortgage will be modified to reflect the increase.
