Approved by City Council & WPCA June 3, 2024 Vote: Unanimous MINUTES Vol. 27, Page 355 CITY COUNCIL & WPCA PUBLIC HEARING: SEWER USE FEE CITY HALL AUDITORIUM/ZOOM MAY 20, 2024 A PUBLIC HEARING was held by the City Council and Water Pollution Control Authority at the City Hall auditorium on Monday, May 20, 2024, to solicit citizen input regarding the proposed sewer use charge for the year beginning July 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025. Attendance was in person and by Zoom. Present at the City Hall Auditorium were Mayor Elinor Carbone, Corporation Counsel Michael Magistrali, Comptroller John Monks, Manager of Budgets Erika Johnson, Public Works Director Ray Drew, Deputy Fire Chief David Tripp, Deputy Police Chief Bart Barown, WPCA Administrator Ed Tousey, Human Resources Director Denise Kurpiewski, and Councilors Drake Waldron, Stephen Ivain, Molly Spino, and Anne Ruwet. Councilor Paul Cavagnero and Supervisor of Elderly Nutrition Christine Trudeau-Brown participated via Zoom. Councilor David Oliver was absent. Mayor Carbone called the Public Hearing to order at 7:06 p.m. Assistant City Clerk Heather Abraham read the legal notice. PUBLIC COMMENT No comments were submitted to the City Clerk’s Office in advance of the meeting and no one in attendance wished to speak.
