Approved by the City Council & WPCA August 5, 2024 Vote: Unanimous MINUTES Vol 27, Page 380 CITY COUNCIL & WPCA PUBLIC HEARING: PUBLIC HEARING - CHAPTER 170 SEWERS CITY HALL AUDITORIUM/ZOOM July, 15, 2024 A PUBLIC HEARING was held by the City Council & WPCA of the City of Torrington on Monday, July 15, 2024, to solicit citizen input regarding the proposed revisions to Chapter 170 of the Code of Ordinances, “Sewers”. Attendance was in person and by Zoom. Present at City Hall were Mayor Elinor Carbone, Corporation Counsel Michael Magistrali, City Councilors Drake Waldron, Stephen Ivain, Molly Spino, and Anne Ruwet. Also present in person were Public Works Director Ray Drew, Manager of Budgets Erika Johnson, Human Resources Director Denise Kurpiewski, Fire Chief Eric Borden, Facilities Manager Jamie Sykora, Superintendent of Public Works Tim Cote, City Engineer Paul Kundzins, Purchasing Agent Pennie Zucco, and Board of Education Director of Facilities Dean Pergola. Councilor David Oliver joined via Zoom. Councilor Paul Cavagnero was absent. Mayor Carbone called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. beginning with the Pledge of Allegiance. City Clerk Carol Anderson read the legal notice into the record. PUBLIC COMMENT No comments were submitted to the City Clerk’s Office in advance of the meeting and no one in attendance wished to speak.
